How to make a homemade pizza taste like pizza?

hello, I know how to make homemade pizzas but one problem is that after it is finished baking, the cheese doesn’t taste like anything not even the sauce. I use mozzarella cheese for the pizza. So I was wondering, what can I add to make the cheese taste like cheese like any types of spices, salt, pepper ect?

Start with the sauce, it is the key. make sure it is thick and flavorful, start maybe with tomato paste so the sauce is thick and concentrated in flavor. Be generous with spices, heat dulls them. Make sure the spices are fresh, the stuff in the cans is fine to use, but it has a shelf life, it can go stale, and lose it fragrance.
Buy a good mozzarella, not those cheapy bags. Get a real chunk, and grate it yourself.
I used to make my own, and it did taste like the cheap frozen ones out of the frozen food case.

    HOMEMADE "GOURMET PIZZA" (SHORTCUT)

Even I can make this Homemade pizza. Save yourself some time to enjoy your guests by getting your pizza dough or plain pizza shells at the supermarket or a local pizzeria. Let dough or shells come to room temperature. Brush shell with vegetable oil or olive oil (to avoid sogginess), then add your favorite toppings. At least two or three cheeses (Mozzarella, provolone, feta, Parmesan), sliced tomatoes, (fresh is good after baked), mushrooms (precooked), pepperoni, chorizo, ham, ground beef. marinated artichoke hearts, thinly sliced onions, red or green pepper rings, fresh herbs (basil, marjoram, coriander, thyme.
To give it that "gourmet" touch try some out of the ordinary toppings (eggplant, zucchini, need to be precooked). Also for hearty appetites, add raw peeled shrimp, slices of cooked sausages (chorizo, lamb, duck, Italian) and slivers of good ham. Bake in preheated oven 450 to 500 degrees 8 to 10 minutes. Serve with a salad of mixed tossed greens with oil and vinegar.

Build your own pizza party (guests build their own individual size pizzas with premade shells and variety of toppings.)

You have to get the recipe of the sauce to be the same, for that you’d probably have to call one of the shops and ask for the recipe.
You would also need the recipe for the dough, and then to know what kind of cheese to use?

Change the brand of cheese that you use. Cheap cheese tastes like rubber, and if you use cheap cheese in a dish, then it won’t taste good.

Don’t use cheddar. Cheddar cheese is a wonderful cheese, but it doesn’t belong on pizza.

You have to make "Real" dough!!!
But then only use 100% mozzarella cheese. With a little oregano sprinkled on top.

    Pizza Dough

    1 package active dry yeast
    1 cup warm water
3 cups all-purpose or bread flour
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, plus a little for coating

Mix water, sugar, salt, with yeast. Slowly add to flower while mixing with fork. Once you have a nice ball, add the oil and the remainder or flour. Take dough ball and fold over itself and knead for about 30 seconds to a minute. Add flour oe oil to hands if too sticky. Rest dough in a bowl with a cover for an hour. Stretch to pan. This is the hard part!

After years of experimenting I’ve finally got my home made pizza to bake without a soggy crust. Its a great recipe…http://www.crazy8s.info/wiki/index.php/Pizza_Recipes.

Tastes Great! (but doesn’t taste like delivery).

Next time: I avoid cheap cheese. Avoid cheap sauce. Use tomato paste?
