Should you saute your vegetables before you put it on your homemade pizza?

I’m making homemade pizza, and I have fresh onion, green pepper, and mushroom. Should I saute them in a pan with olive oil before I put them on the pizza, or will they cook in the oven?
Thank you for the answers so far!!!!!

If you want a unique flavor you can add herbs to it and mix it around the vegetables, but otherwise you just plop the vegetables on the pizza before you put it in the oven!!

Bon Appetite

hope this helps.. Good Luck!

They will cook in the oven. Enjoy.

I would saute the mushroom if you are concerned with the moisture that gets released. If you cook it at 500 degrees then no need. But if cooked at a lower temp, themoisture from mushrooms will cause a touch of sogginess.. Peppers and Onions will brown nicely. No need to pre saute them.

I always do unless you want them crunchy.

I never have and neither did the pizza place I worked at in school.
You really want the vegetables to still have a bite to them, the oven will cook them. If you sauteed them, the oven would really just make mush of them, pretty, but no substance

if you are using a home made base that will take 20min approximately to cook then thinly slicing or dicing them will be fine and they will cook within the time the case takes to cook, other wise if using a pre made base it may pay to pre cook them but briefly cooking them in the microwave is a healthier alternative to sauteing but may not have the same flavor

If thinly cut, you don’t have to. If they are kind of chunky, you’d probably enjoy it better if they had a head-start in a saute pan.
